A Family Festival Born In Leigh
WN7 FEST is a two-day family music festival in the heart of Leigh, right at the centre of Greater Manchester. The name comes from our postcode — WN7 — and that little detail says everything about who we are: a proper community festival, built by local people, for the town we love and everyone who fancies joining us for the weekend.
This isn't a brand-new event chasing a trend. WN7 FEST has been bringing live music, big singalongs and a brilliant family atmosphere to Leigh Miners Welfare for a few years now, and after another sold-out year we're back again. The weekender splits into two distinct days. Country Music Day on the Friday is for the line dancers, the country fans and anyone who loves a foot-stomping anthem. Family Festival on the Saturday is for absolutely everyone — kids, grandparents and all the ages in between — with a Kids Zone, fairground rides, live entertainment and a street food village to graze your way around.
We're easy to reach from right across the North West — Wigan, Warrington, Bolton, St Helens and Manchester are all on the doorstep — and with tickets from just £5, a day out for the whole family won't cost the earth. If you're hunting for a family festival near Manchester, you're in exactly the right place. You can also read our full story to see how the festival grew from a local idea into one of the friendliest weekends in the WN7.

WN7 FEST 2026
Last summer was unforgettable — a sold-out crowd, world-class tribute acts, a buzzing street-food village, a packed kids zone and neon afters that ran into the night. Thank you to everyone who came. 2027 is going to be even bigger.

The Year Leigh Sold Out
If you were there in 2026, you'll know exactly why we keep coming back. Leigh Miners Welfare was packed from the first chord to the last, with thousands of people filling the site under the summer sky. The main stage delivered world-class tributes — the very best of Queen, Oasis, ABBA, Robbie, Michael Jackson and Ed Sheeran — and the whole crowd, from toddlers on shoulders to grandparents in deck chairs, sang every word back.
What people remember most, though, isn't any single act. It's the feeling. Families spread out across the grass with picnic blankets and street food, kids darting between the rides and the Kids Zone, neighbours bumping into neighbours, and a friendly, safe, genuinely welcoming atmosphere that you don't always find at a big festival. It felt like the whole of Leigh — and plenty of visitors from across Greater Manchester and the wider North West — had turned out for one enormous community party.
That sold-out success is exactly why 2027 is bigger and bolder: two full days, even more for the family, and the same warm WN7 welcome. Missed it? Read the full WN7 FEST 2026 recap, or take a look through the gallery to get a real feel for it before you join us next June.

More Than Just A Gig
It's a genuine family festival.Plenty of events say they're family-friendly and then forget the actual families. We build the whole Saturday around them — a dedicated Kids Zone, fairground rides, live entertainment pitched at every age, baby changing, accessible facilities and pushchair-friendly ground. Parents can relax, kids can run, and nobody's clock-watching for a tantrum.
Two days, two different vibes.Friday's Country Music Day brings line dancing and country anthems for the grown-ups, while Saturday's Family Festival is a proper all-ages day out. Come for one, or grab a Weekend Pass and make a weekend of it in Leigh.
It won't break the bank. Tickets start at just £5 for under-14s, with family tickets covering two adults and two children. A festival day out for the whole family at a price that actually makes sense — rare in the current climate, and something we're proud of.
It's rooted in the community. WN7 FEST is run by local people who love Leigh, on a community site with real history, in a spot that's easy to reach from Wigan, Bolton, Warrington and the whole of Greater Manchester.
